2024 CMVRWC Annual Chili Cookoff featuring our Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears

Colonial Mount Vernon Republican Women's Club Posted on September 8, 2024 by Stori ZimmermanSeptember 13, 2024

What a fantastic afternoon filled with fellowship, delicious food, and inspiring messages! We were truly blessed as the worst of the weather passed us by—thank you all for your prayers!

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Virginia Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears for taking time out of her busy schedule to shower us with wisdom and encouragement as she prepares for her run to become our next Virginia Governor. We are so grateful for her leadership!

A big thank you to Supervisor Pat Herrity as well for speaking on the challenges we face in Fairfax County under disastrous Democrat policies and emphasizing the importance of staying engaged in our local communities and elections.

And, of course, THANK YOU to every single person who attended, and to all the dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly to organize, set up, donate, and break down this event. Your support and hard work make all the difference.

We couldn’t do ANY of this without YOU!

✨A Memorable June General Membership Meeting with Hon. Ken Cuccinelli!✨

Colonial Mount Vernon Republican Women's Club Posted on June 25, 2024 by Stori ZimmermanJuly 18, 2024
For the past two years, we’ve had the honor of hosting the Hon. Ken Cuccinelli via Zoom for our June General Membership meeting, where he shared his insights on the year’s most impactful SCOTUS rulings and cases. This year, we were thrilled to have him join us IN PERSON! He delivered incredible insights into the rulings handed down just before the July 4th holiday week. Hearing his educated, spot-on opinions was truly delightful.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, brought snacks to share, and led us in prayer, the Pledge, and the Creed. Your participation made the event even more special!
Stay tuned for our Annual Chili Cookoff on September 7th, featuring our amazing Lt. Governor, Winsome Earle-Sears, as our guest speaker.
We hope to see you there!

“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each solider who died protecting it.” ~Unknown

The symbolism of the missing man table:
⭐️The table is round, to show the everlasting concern for our missing men.
⭐️The cloth is white, symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to serve.
⭐️The single red rose; displayed in a vase, reminds us of the lives of these Americans and their loved ones and friends who keep the faith while seeking answers.
⭐️The red ribbon symbolizes our continued determination to account for our missing.
⭐️A slice of lemon reminds us of their bitter fate; captured and missing in a foreign land.
⭐️A pinch of salt symbolizes the tears of our missing and their families who long for answers after decades of uncertainty.
⭐️The lighted candle reflects our hope for their return, alive or dead.
⭐️The Bible represents the strength gained through faith to sustain us and those lost from our country, founded one nation under God.
⭐️The glass is inverted, symbolizing their inability to share a toast.
⭐️The chair is empty, the seat that remains unclaimed at the table.
